BLANC | 2020 SELECT WORK
T-Pain - /ˈtëë-païn/; English (n)
T-Pain is a legendary hip hop and r&b artist from Tallahassee...but you already knew that.
We were brought on for a long term period of 6 months to work as the in-house creative department at Cinematic Music Group. During this time, we were tasked with the relaunch of T-Pain’s music career. Ready to return from a 5-year long leave of absense from the music industry, T-Pain was looking for a dramatic visual interpretation of his recent spiritual journey. His story motivated us to create a series of symbols that served as a visual language inspired by the Voyager Records, a project executed by NASA in the 1970s.
Following the launch of Oblivion, we created a viral online campaign--a faux online college called Wiscansin University. The campaign gained notariety across social platforms and was written about in Forbes, Complex, High Snobiety, Esquire, and more.
DELIVERABLES: “Oblivion” full branding, concept, photography, logo, album artwork, website, social media campaign and album launch assets, billboard advertisement, viral digital “Wiscansin university” campaign
